Customer Notification – Phasing Out Sequencing Service on HiSeq™ X

Dear Valued Customers and Business Partners,

We would like to inform you that starting from September 30, 2023, we will be officially discontinuing the pre-made libraries lane sequencing service on Illumina’s HiSeq™ sequencers.

The HiSeq platform has been an integral part of our sequencing offerings for several years, and we understand that many of you have relied on it for your research projects. However, with the advancements in sequencing technologies and the introduction of more advanced platforms, we have made the decision to retire the HiSeq system to make way for newer and more powerful systems. Nevertheless, Novogene has procured sufficient consumables to support our customers in completing their ongoing projects with us.

What does this mean for our customers?

For customers who wish to continue their sequencing projects on the HiSeq™ platform, please take note of the following key dates:

September 30, 2023 — We will stop accepting new projects involving HiSeq. After this date, no new quotes/contracts or supplementary contracts will be created.

November 30, 2023 — We will stop receiving pre-made library samples for HiSeq. We will continue to receive samples for ongoing projects until November 30, 2023. After this date, we will no longer accept any samples for all ongoing projects.

June 30, 2024 — We will stop offering any services related to HiSeq. We expect all relevant after-sales issues to be completed by June 30, 2024.

Please be assured that we will continue to support and process all existing HiSeq projects that are currently in progress or contracted. We hope that this notification will assist you in planning your upcoming projects with us.

The discontinuation of the HiSeq sequencer will allow us to focus our resources on cutting-edge platforms that offer improved sequencing efficiency, higher data output, and enhanced capabilities. This, in turn, will ensure that your research benefits from the latest technological advancements in the field.
