Multi-Omics Perspectives on Cancer Immunology with Single-Cell Transcriptomics & DIA Proteomics

23 July 2026 (Thursday) | 11:00am - 1:30pm
Academia, Level 7, meeting room AC-7-1,
20 College Road Singapore 169856
Cancer immunology research increasingly relies on complementary omics approaches to capture the full picture of tumor-immune interactions. This seminar brings together two perspectives on that effort. The first session examines single-cell transcriptomics as a tool to assist tumor immunology, with a focus on the technical aspects of sample preparation, experimental workflow design, and the interpretation of high-dimensional data. The second session turns to the protein level, exploring how data-independent acquisition (DIA) proteomics is being applied across cancer immunotherapy and precision oncology, from early discovery work to translational findings with direct relevance to patient care. Together, the two talks offer a view of how transcriptomic and proteomic technologies are shaping current strategies in cancer immunology research.

What to expect

  • A practical walkthrough of single-cell transcriptomics workflows for cancer immunology, including sample preparation considerations and common pitfalls in experimental design
  • A comparison of short-read and long-read single-cell sequencing approaches, including their strengths, limitations, and applications in immune profiling, transcript isoform detection, and cancer research
  • An introduction to DIA proteomics as a method, and how it differs from earlier proteomic approaches in scope and depth
  • Case examples of how proteomic data is being translated into insights for cancer immunotherapy and precision oncology
  • Opportunities to discuss how transcriptomic and proteomic approaches can be combined or sequenced within a single research program
Meet the Speakers
FEI Jing (Anna)
Product Manager, NovogeneAIT Genomics Singapore

Anna is a Product Manager for Single Cell Sequencing and Spatial Transcriptomics at Novogene, overseeing the service portfolio across the AMEA region — including Singapore, Japan, Korea, Australia, and Hong Kong. She brings a strong nine-year track record in next-generation sequencing. Previously, Anna served on the technical team at a local hospital, Illumina, and Thermo Fisher, where she gained unparalleled insight into the instrumentation and chemistry driving modern NGS and supported customers across academia and clinical settings. At Novogene, Anna leverages this unique cross-industry expertise to assist researchers in navigating the complexities of single-cell and spatial biology — from platform selection to addressing complex research needs.
