Yuanyuan Chen Ph.D has served as the managing director at Novogene Gmbh since 2024. She joined Novogene in 2016, and has worked in sales, supports and BU management.  
Dr. Richard Capper
Illumina
Dr. Richard Capper, Director of Product Marketing at Illumina Europe, has over a decade of experience in clinical applications, including reproductive health, oncology, and whole genome sequencing. He leads research segments and product launches. Holding a BSc from Bristol and a DPhil from Oxford, he previously worked in high-throughput services and field applications at Oxford Gene Technology and Agilent Technologies.
Prof. Claude Becker
LMU Biocenter
Prof. Claude Becker, a molecular biologist with a PhD from the University of Freiburg, studied microRNA-mRNA interactions. His postdoc at the Max Planck Institute in Tübingen focused on plant DNA methylation and epigenomic variation. After leading a research group at the Gregor Mendel Institute in Vienna, he joined LMU Munich in 2020. His lab explores plant-organismic interactions and somaclonal variation using short- and long-read sequencing in model species and crops.
Prof. Lars Maegdefessel
Institute of Molecular Vascular Medicine, TUM Klinikum
Lars Maegdefessel is affiliated with the TUM Klinikum at Technical University Munich and the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. His research focuses on RNA-based therapies for atherosclerotic vascular diseases, including carotid stenosis/stroke and aortic aneurysms. His labs utilize human biobanks, patient cohorts, and various models (arteries-on-chips), along with Omics approaches. Prof. Maegdefessel has received numerous grants and awards from organizations such as the European Research Council, German and Swedish Research Councils, NIH, and the American Heart Association (Russel Ross Award 2023).
Prof. Medhanie A. Mulaw
Ulm University
Medhanie A. Mulaw is a Professor and head of the Single-Cell Genomics Unit at Ulm University’s Medical Faculty. With a PhD in Human Biology from LMU Munich, he specializes in functional genomics, focusing on single-cell analysis and machine learning to study hematopoiesis, stem cell aging, and rejuvenation. His experience includes postdoctoral research at LMU Munich and Ulm University, as well as lecturing in genetics at Addis Ababa University.
Dr. Andrea Geiger
PacBio
Andrea joined PacBio in 2021 and is the Territory Manager responsible for Southern Germany and Austria. She lives in Nuremberg and has worked for various companies in the biotech sector during her career, including Hamilton, Perkin Elmer and Applied Biosystems. She holds a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Erlangen.
Dr. Dimitar Petrov
PacBio
Dimitar is an Application Scientist at PacBio joining the company in 2022. Dimitar is based in Munich, where he previously worked 5 years as a PostDoc at the LMU on RNA methylation and transcriptional regulation. Previously he worked also for a start-up company in the field of biotechnology after finishing his PhD at the University of Cologne in the area of microbiology and metabolic engineering.
Prof. Hauke Busch
University of Lübeck
Prof. Hauke Busch, a theoretical physicist turned systems biologist, earned his PhD in 2004. He conducted research at leading German institutes before joining the Lübeck Institute for Experimental Dermatology, where he leads the Division for Medical Systems Biology. His work focuses on personalized medicine and translational research in cancer, autoimmune diseases, and movement disorders using multi-Omics data. He also oversees the high-performance computing cluster at the University of Lübeck and leads the Molecular Tumor Board at the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein.
Dr. Martin Seifert
10x Genomics
Dr. Martin Seifert is a Senior Science and Technology Provider at 10x Genomics. He began his career with transcriptomic studies at the Technical University of Munich and later joined Genomatix, co-authoring the first human transcriptome paper in Science (2008). Before joining 10x Genomics, he founded Connexome, a consulting firm focused on multimodal analyses in clinical settings. With over 50 publications in genomics, epigenetics, and transcriptomics, Martin is keen on integrating single-cell and spatial technologies with clinical data.
